Hey Everyone
My name is Zephyr. I have a blog called strugglewithbipolar.wordpress.com
I got diagnosed a few weeks back. I have a baby who is a yr old now. I got this postpartum bipolar which was mistakenly diagnosed at PPD. Also I have a very supportive husband but he know how to handle me. What i am worried about is my son. he is young and should not suffer, the poor baby suffers becuase of my mood swings. some days i dont pay attention to him. took me 7 months and more to start loving him. there r days when i just want him to leave and play with someone else. i am not a bad mom just a mom with a sicko brain
i also suffered from sexual abuse, i have borderline personality disorder and PTSD. i was also told i was adopted when i was 23 so it was a bummer.
life is hard thank God i have an amazing partner
i hope that this place will b a place that will help me be a better bp mom

Great to see you here Zephyr! I just started reading your blog and will keep up with it! I can relate to it, that's for sure, even though my girls are now older. I am glad you have a great partner. I think this will be a helpful place for you as Becca (founder) rocks and she has 7 kids! She has valuable perspectives to share!

Welcome zephyr! So glad you could join us. You are right you are not a bad mom, you are a mom with BP that you are getting help for and that right there is commendable! I still have days that I don't want to be around the kids and that's okay. We're allowed to have days like that. I'm positive mom's without BP have days like that. As a matter of fact I have talked to a few and they even admit it

You are doing awesome because you went for help! That right there shows you care! I'm happy you found us and I'm thrilled your partner is so supportive of you! I too have quite a supportive hubby and I wouldn't have made it without him!
